The team of coaches especially Pikey and Laura really knew their stuff and took care of us. No matter your fitness level, everyone is there to build a better, stronger version of themselves, and whilst having fun at it! Awesome vibes only! I was there for 2 weeks for an intensive camp to train for an upcoming Hyrox race and it definitely checked all boxes. Made some new found friends, there’s many solo travellers so plenty of chances to mingle around if you’d like!

I had an amazing experience at this fitness retreat and couldn’t recommend it enough. The food was a real highlight — incredibly healthy, nourishing, and genuinely delicious, making it easy to stay energised throughout the day. The variety of classes kept things exciting and well balanced, from high-energy sessions like HIIT, Tabata, Boxfit, Muay Thai, Hyrox, running sessions, refreshing morning walks, and torturous Buddha hike ;-). I also loved the restorative side of the schedule, especially the yoga and sound healing, which helped with recovery and relaxation. The mix of challenging workouts and mindful practices created a motivating yet supportive environment, and I left feeling stronger, healthier, and recharged. Over the 4 weeks I lost around 10-15lbs and gained a ton of muscle. The friendships I’ve made here are meaningful and long lasting; there’s such a fantastic community of like-minded people. I spent four weeks at Lamai Fitness around Christmas. It was an escape from the Dutch winter and preparation for my third Hyrox solo race.

First of all, the atmosphere at Lamai Fitness is fantastic. Enjoy a healthy lifestyle in a great location near the beach. There's great energy, and everyone motivates each other. There's a wide range of classes.

The trainers are excellent! Thanks to Lewis for the high-quality strength training, to Baikey for the running sessions, the advice on my running technique, and the mobility training, and to Laura for the Hyrox-specific sessions! This combination of sessions helped me immensely. My last race was at the end of November, and seven weeks later, I was four minutes faster!

I had a fantastic stay and hope to return later this year!
