I spent four weeks at the Lamai Fitness Retreat on the Weight Loss VIP Package. It was by far the best thing I’ve ever done in my life.

There are people from all over the world, and everyone has the same goal: to exercise and be healthy. That’s really motivating. I’m 24 years old. All age groups and nationalities are represented. Everyone from 18 to 80 is there.

The facilities are also brilliant; everything is close together, with a fully equipped gym, a yoga room, a boxing hall and much more

The coaches are all super friendly and helpful and are absolute experts.

The food is absolutely brilliant – always fresh, super healthy and included, along with a delicious protein shake and electrolytes.

I absolutely loved my time at Lamai fitness retreat in Koh Samui. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredible so friendly, welcoming, and they genuinely make you feel at home from day one, not to mention how quickly the relationship manager Eve is to respond to any questions or requests throughout the day!

The food deserves a special mention because it was honestly 12/10. Super healthy, clean but still unbelievably delicious with so much variety you’ll never get bored of the meals.

I also loved that most of the staff are English, especially if you’re travelling solo. It gives you that comforting sense of home while still being somewhere completely different, and makes it so easy to settle in and meet people.

There’s also such a wide range of classes for all levels, which I loved. My favourite was definitely the HYROX class challenging, high energy, and such a great atmosphere. You really feel pushed but supported at the same time.

The Jungle Run and Big Buddha hike were also big highlights for me. It’s such a great way to explore more of the island while staying active, and it made the whole experience feel even more special.

Another thing I really loved was the spa and massages being included. It was such an added touch and made a huge difference for recovery after the workouts and activities. Having that time to properly relax, recover, and look after your body really elevated the whole experience.

Such an amazing experience overall. I left feeling stronger, healthier, and already wanting to book my next trip back.

What an awesome experience it was for me staying and training at Lamai Fitness Retreat for 8 weeks.

I exceeded my expectations in my stay as my aim before arriving was to lose 16 kilograms (2 kilos a week), on my final weigh in I’d lost 18.7 kilograms and I was stoked.
But I achieved so much more than just weight loss while I was there, thanks to the coaches advice as well their expertise I now feel more confident and comfortable with my diet as well as my training.

A big thank you to my coaches Baikey who pushed me further than what I thought I could go, Arm from Evolution Muaythai for my one on one boxing sessions who again pushed me to my limits. Also thank you to Billy and Laura for your advice and chats during my stay.
Thank you to Harry and the crew from Eats cafe who supplied all of us with our delicious daily meals too.

I can highly recommend Lamai Fitness Retreat to anyone who is not only looking to improve their fitness and lose weight but they offer so much more than that as they cater for all of your needs physically as well as mentally.

For those of you thinking about trying out Lamai Fitness Retreat my advice to you is DON’T THINK, DO!!!
You definitely won’t regret it.

From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations.

The class schedule was excellent. The coaches and staff truly made the experience though - they are amazing. So friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in everyone there. I left feeling like I’d made real friendships, not just attended a retreat.

I arrived going through a bit of a tough time, and they went above and beyond to support me. They pushed me hard in sessions and helped me realise what I’m actually capable of, which was incredibly empowering.

I arrived feeling a little lost in life, but I left with my confidence fully restored. I’ve come home feeling motivated, focused, and hungry to push myself even further than I ever thought possible.

Lamai Fitness Retreat completely exceeded my expectations! As a coach, I’m pretty selective about where I go, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality across every aspect of the experience. I loved it so much that I ended up extending my stay which probably says it all!

The variety in the timetable was amazing there really is something for everyone. I loved stepping outside my usual routine and trying classes I wouldn’t normally go for. The food was honestly 12/10. Healthy meals can sometimes feel repetitive or bland, but here I was genuinely excited for every meal. It was fresh, balanced, and full of flavour.

The coaching team were another standout. They were knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to give helpful feedback and guidance. The accommodation was spotless and super convenient, just a short walk from the gym.

I went for the full package with spa access and massages included, and this was such a great addition to have some extra recovery time.

What stood out most to me, was how inclusive the environment was. There were people of all ages and fitness levels, and it felt like such an easy place to settle in, feel comfortable, and connect with others. It truly caters to everyone.

I’d highly recommend Lamai Fitness Retreat to anyone looking for a supportive, high-quality fitness experience!

Just finished 11 weeks at Lamai Fitness and can't recommend it highly enough. All the staff are brilliant. Shout to Lewis in particular, my strength coach, who was excellent throughout.

I also loved running with Pikey. I hadn't run properly in about 20 years and surprised myself with what I was capable of, but there's no way I'd have got there without him pushing me.

Laura's HIIT classes were great too, and Eve was brilliant on the admin side, keeping everything organised and running smoothly.

Highly Recommend! Had the best 7 days training hard and eating healthy with the most incredible cafe onsite that served beautiful fresh food. Definitely noticed results in 7 days and lost 3kg! Thank you to all the guys at Lamai fitness what a great team you all are!

My dear friend invited me to join her for a one month retreat at Lamai Fitness. I’m 75 and have been somewhat lazy, especially due to the freezing weather in the New York area. I felt a spark of interest and excitement, and said yes, without even a second thought. I didn’t know what to expect, but what I received was far more than anything I could’ve hoped for.
I’ll start with the program. We signed up for the weight loss program which included two sessions weekly with a personal trainer; in my case the wonderful “Laura”! Laura gently helped me make friends with the gym, the treadmill, the weights, etc., and she created an exercise routine tailored to me and my goals.
We had all meals prepared, which were high protein, high fiber choices, with a few treats thrown in. Many thanks to Harry and Adi, who were always helpful and kind. I was thrilled to not think about cooking for a whole month! The little “Eats” restaurant was where we met everyone in the meals program. We quickly connected with so many people from around the world, which was one of the joys for me. We were all in it together and no ageism existed.
The plan included two massages per week, as well as two weekly visits to a lovely spa about 10 minutes away. A typical day for me was breakfast, followed by lap swimming at our small hotel pool, maybe a yoga class with Seal or Mike, lunch, personal training with the wonderful Laura, and my favorite, Healing Bowls with Eve! I also got into Breath work sessions, both in the studio and in the spa pool. “Andy”, the instructor, introduced us to the depth of breath work in the studio, and we had lots of fun at the spa pool. learning breath control using weighted jackets, playing underwater games. Of course there was always dinner and then exhaustion. I slept well and was able to meet my goals for losing weight. I would highly recommend Lamai Fitness to anyone ready to expand their horizons!

I’m honestly finding it hard to know where to begin with this review. What an experience, what a transformation and what a fantastic place!

I have now done a few different fitness retreat style holidays around the world and this has to be one of my favorites. I’ve just completed my fourth visit here so that tells you alot.

The variety and quality of the classes is excellent and the passion, expertise and warmth of the trainers is up there to match. No matter how fit you arrive I can assure you a transformation of mind, body and spirit by the time you leave. Every time I get back home to England people say “Wow you look amazing!”. I say “thank you! I feel it!”

I do about 4-8 weeks here (each time it gets a bit longer) and every time I’ve left feeling at least 300% stronger, happier, calmer and fitter than I arrived. Although I’d say any time here is better than none, my advice would be to do at least 2 weeks if you can. The first week is exciting but tough. You will be sore. Lol. But by the end of the second week I guarantee you will have improved on everything, you will feel your fitness engine fired up again and the soreness mostly gone. It is addictive though once you get a taste for it, you will more than likely want to extend!

The physio affiliated with Lamai Fitness is also one of the best I’ve ever seen. She is unbelievably knowledgable and has helped me fix parts of my movement that I thought were lost for ever. Thanks to this place I’m getting fitter, stronger and more mobile as I age!

I come for the whole overhaul of body and mind but physically I use my time here to put on some muscle rather than to lose weight. Pretty much any fitness goal can be achieved within the schedule I’d say. You just pick the classes and create an eating schedule that aligns with that goal. This can all be discussed during your orientation meeting at the beginning though. I do the Complete Fitness package so I pick when and where to have my meals.

I’ve met some wonderful people here every time I’ve come- both clients and trainers. I always come solo and it feels like here I have friends on tap. It’s all very free and you can have as much time alone or together socially with the other clients as you wish. The town of Lamai is right on the doorstep and the beach is a 5 minute walk away as well. The word “Retreat” might make you feel like it’s tucked out of the way but it’s not at all. You have the town on one side with a huge amount of variety of restaurants and shops to discover, and the jungle is on the other!

You of course also have access to the massive self care options on offer here in town. So many incredible massage, facial, pedicure etc places.

What really sets this place apart from other retreats is the atmosphere I think. It’s so welcoming, friendly and personal feeling. The classes are challenging but there is always a joke to be shared and so much support from the coaches and other clients. I really feel like these guys are my Samui family.

Great training sessions, incredibly delicious food, a fantastic atmosphere, and wonderful people — staff, instructors, and guests alike.

I spent one week at this amazing place, and I truly hope to return one day and stay for several weeks.

I visited Lamai after a recommendation from a friend for two weeks in late Feb 26. I can’t rate it highly enough for the quality of the training, programme that allows you to really push yourself and recover (including sound healing, breathwork and daily stretching) as well as time for yourself to explore or just nap (can recommend!) I stayed at the apartments so spa access was included daily which was a blessing, beautiful pool and recovery facilities like ice bath. But honestly the best thing is the people and friendly, supportive environment. I met people from all over the world who arresting to make a change or invest in themselves and it made for such a great experience as a single woman.

My husband and I just finished our 3 weeks at Lamai Fitness and we enthusiastically recommended it for anyone looking to get in shape and feel amazing. We did the 50+ VIP program and appreciated all the extras like daily massages and spa access, and additional personal training sessions and visits with the physio. Huge shoutout to my trainer, Laura, who is a phenomenal trainer and an even better person. I wish I could train with her year round! Kudos to the entire Lamai team. Well done! We hope to be back one day!
