Book NowThe Muay Thai & Hyrox package is for anyone who wants to train two of the most demanding disciplines in modern fitness on the same trip — striking technique under a UK Muay Thai champion, and functional strength endurance under a qualified Hyrox coach. It is a specialty program that draws fighters, weekend warriors, and Hyrox competitors from across Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Pricing matches the Complete Fitness package, but the focus is sharper. You’re not splitting time across yoga, mobility, and beach workouts — you’re going deep on combat skill and conditioning, with everything else available if you want it.
Who the Muay Thai & Hyrox package is for
This package suits anyone who is genuinely curious about Muay Thai, Hyrox, or both. You don’t need prior experience. Many clients are total beginners who want to spend a week or two doing something completely outside their normal routine. Others are experienced — Muay Thai amateurs preparing for fights, Hyrox athletes training for events, MMA hobbyists who want to sharpen striking, or CrossFit athletes adding combat conditioning to their toolkit.
Coaches scale every session to your level. You’ll be learning the same fundamentals as the room’s best striker on day one, just at a different speed. By week two, the difference closes.
What you’ll train
Muay Thai sessions run twice daily — typically 7am and 4pm — under head coach Jordan Watson, who fought at championship level in the UK and has coached fighters of every level for over a decade. Sessions cover the full art: stance, footwork, the eight points of striking (fists, elbows, knees, shins), pad work, bag work, clinch work, and conditioning. Sparring is available for clients who want it, with coach supervision and full protective gear.
Hyrox training is led by Laura Davey, a qualified Hyrox coach, in our dedicated outdoor Hyrox training centre. Sessions cover the eight Hyrox stations — running, ski erg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmer’s carries, sandbag lunges, and wall balls — programmed across the week to build the specific aerobic-strength capacity Hyrox athletes need. If you’re training for an event, your week can be tailored around your race calendar.
You also have unlimited access to the rest of the schedule — strength training, functional fitness, mobility, ice baths, and beach work — so recovery and supplementary training are never bottlenecks.
A typical week
Mornings begin with the 7am Muay Thai session. Pad work, technique, conditioning. Mid-morning is open for strength training, mobility, or recovery, depending on the day. Lunch at the EATS café (or your own arrangements if you’re not on the meal plan), followed by a recovery window. Afternoons typically include either Hyrox conditioning, strength work, or the 4pm second Muay Thai session — depending on the rotation your week has.
Weekly volume is heavy. Most clients run two Muay Thai sessions a day plus three or four Hyrox-style conditioning sessions across the week. Recovery — ice baths, massage, sleep — becomes part of the training rather than an afterthought. Saturdays are typically lighter or used for an island excursion. Sunday is rest.
Recovery and nutrition
Combat sport plus Hyrox conditioning is one of the highest training loads you can put on a body, and recovery has to match. Ice baths are unlimited and used daily by most clients. The pool, sauna, steam room, and onsite massage are all available for soft tissue recovery. Sleep, hydration, and nutrition are non-negotiable parts of the plan rather than nice-to-haves.
Meals are not included in the standard package, but you can add three meals a day for an additional 5,000 THB per week. Most fighters and Hyrox athletes do — matching your fuel intake to a training week of this volume is the difference between progress and breakdown.
What makes it different
There are gyms in Thailand that run great Muay Thai. There are gyms that run good Hyrox training. The Muay Thai & Hyrox package is the only program on Koh Samui that runs both at high standards on the same site, with coaches who actively communicate about your week’s training load.
You’ll train under a UK champion who has been in actual fights, not someone reciting the moves from a manual. You’ll learn Hyrox from a qualified coach who has competed in the format and understands the specific demands. And you’ll do both inside an integrated retreat where accommodation, food, and recovery are sorted — so all you have to do is show up and train.
If you’ve been wanting to try Muay Thai, train for a Hyrox event, or just spend a week doing something physically and mentally outside your normal routine, this is where to do it.
