Book NowFor most people who arrive at Lamai Fitness Retreat, the Complete Fitness package is where the journey starts. It is our broadest, longest-running, and most popular program — built for people who want unlimited access to every class on the schedule, the freedom to mix disciplines day by day, and a coaching team that helps you choose what to do each session rather than handing you a one-size-fits-all template.
This isn’t a generic bootcamp and it isn’t a wellness retreat dressed up as fitness. It is a working gym in tropical Thailand, with eighteen years of experience getting real results for real people of every level — first-timers, returning regulars, ex-athletes, weekend warriors, and everyone in between.
Who the Complete Fitness Retreat is for
If you have outgrown your home gym, hit a plateau, or just want to spend a week somewhere with sun on your back and no excuses left, this is the package. It works equally well for total beginners who want a structured introduction to multiple training styles, and for experienced lifters and athletes who want to use their time away to push hard and try disciplines they don’t normally have access to.
Every class scales to your level. You will rarely be the strongest, fittest, or fastest person in the room — and you will rarely be the slowest. The community is part of the result, and most clients leave with a group of training partners they keep in touch with long after they have flown home.
What you’ll train
Your week moves between strength training in the gym, functional fitness conditioning, yoga and mobility for recovery, run club on the road and beach, hiking and trail running through the Koh Samui jungle, sunrise beach workouts, breath work, and Muay Thai for anyone who wants to swap a session for striking practice.
It is the closest thing on the island to having access to four or five specialist gyms at once — except they are all on the same site, run by coaches who communicate with each other and adjust your week as a team rather than working in silos.
A typical week
Mornings start early. Most days you’ll be at the gym before 7am for coffee with the team before heading out for a run, hike, or beach session. Mid-morning is for strength or conditioning. Afternoons are usually a class or skill session — Muay Thai, yoga, mobility, or breath work, depending on the day and how your body is recovering. Coaches help you read your own recovery and choose the right session, so you don’t burn out halfway through your stay.
Weekends look different. Saturday usually involves a longer adventure — boat trips to Koh Madsum and Koh Taen, paddle boarding, snorkelling, jungle hikes to hidden temples, or one of the more challenging routes up to the highest points on the island. These aren’t optional extras. They are part of why people come back year after year.
Recovery and nutrition
Recovery is treated as part of the program rather than an afterthought. Ice baths, the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and massage are all available throughout your stay. The onsite EATS café serves clean, locally sourced meals built around the seven main nutrient groups, with protein shakes and electrolytes available all day.
Meals are not included in the standard Complete Fitness package, but you can add three meals a day for an additional 5,000 THB per week — most clients do, because matching the food to the training is where the body composition results actually come from. You’ll also get free nutritional guidance from the coaching team if you want help building habits that survive the flight home.
What makes it different
There are plenty of fitness retreats in Thailand. What sets the Complete Fitness program apart is that we have been running it for eighteen years on the same site, with coaches who live and train here year-round, in a fitness street complex where two gyms, a yoga studio, a Muay Thai floor, a Hyrox training centre, and the EATS café are all within walking distance of one another. You are not shuttled between venues — you walk between them in flip-flops.
You are also not a number. You’ll know every coach by name within the first couple of days, they’ll know you, and the people training next to you become friends by the end of the week. That isn’t a marketing line. It is just what happens here.
If you are ready to spend a week, a month, or longer training somewhere that actually works, the Complete Fitness Retreat is where to start.
