I must get fit, I must get fit, I must get fit! We hear it all the time from individuals who are desperate to transform their body, or keep up with their child playing football, or perhaps someone who just wants to look and feel a bit healthier. A regular new year’s resolution for many – I will join a gym, or I will take up a new sport. In fact, most people would probably succeed if they had the time to get into it…being a beginner at a new sport or fitness regime is challenging, it’s tough to try and remember all the skills or to constantly be not quite getting it right…this in turn can lead to people throwing in the towel before they turn the corner and see themselves getting good (and fit!).
A fitness retreat is the perfect way to give yourself the time and opportunity to find something that you really enjoy with the specialist trainers and support to get you past the starting point and to the place where you can really enjoy it and benefit from it. What’s more, there are so many different options that I’m sure you will find something you like. We have people who come out here to invest time in learning yoga – understanding the mind, body and soul connection and giving them the skills they need to benefit from its healing capabilities, and the confidence to return home and join a class without feeling like the ‘newbie’. Others try yoga and just can’t find their groove with it, but they give Muay Thai a try and are shocked by how much they enjoyed the boxing – bad day in the office? Now you know how to go and punch the bad day away.
If getting fit is to be for the long term, it must be based on finding a fitness option that you really want to do – so a fitness retreat can help you try all those options, we have Run Club, Hiking and Trail Running, Beach Bootcamps, Cross Fit, Boxing, Yoga – and we truly believe that with the help and motivation of our trainers a fitness retreat in Lamai Fitness Retreat, Koh Samui will give you the chance to find the one that is right for you, and the time to get past the ‘throwing in the towel’ stage. Intentions are great, but life gets in the way, so give yourself the time to transform your fitness level by taking the time you need to jump start your fitness into something that can last.
