Apartments at Lamai Fitness Retreat

These are our main accommodation, and most guests end up here. Right on Fitness Street, so the gym, café, yoga studios, and boxing area are all a couple of minutes on foot. Roll out of bed, brush your teeth, you’re at your morning session. We’ve had people show up to training still in their pyjamas. We didn’t ask questions.

What’s inside

Each apartment is self-contained. Queen bed, private bathroom, air con, balcony for your morning coffee or evening wind-down. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, kettle, and a small electric hob — enough for oats, eggs, smoothies, or whatever else you want to throw together. Not a full chef’s kitchen, but more than fine if you don’t fancy eating out every single meal.

The lounge has a proper desk and a decent chair, which sounds like a small thing until you’ve tried to work from a Thai bungalow with a wobbly coffee table and a plastic stool. If you’re a digital nomad or just need to dial in for the occasional Zoom, this is the setup you actually want. WiFi is fast and consistent — not always a given on the islands.

Communal areas and spa access

Evenings, the communal salas are where people drift to. Some nights it’s quiet. Other nights you’ll get pulled into a two-hour conversation about someone’s macros, or training history, or why their last retreat in Bali didn’t really work out. Either way, it’s a good spot to wind down.

Free daily access to LUMMA Spa comes included with your stay. There’s a pool, loungers, jungle around the edges — exactly the right kind of place for recovery days or just doing nothing for an afternoon. The apartments themselves are quiet, surrounded by green, and the whole thing feels like a retreat. Not a hostel. Not a hotel. Something in between, in a good way.
